The other day, I received a message from a Hebrew brother, which came as no surprise given the prevalence of this type of Hebrew. In this article, I challenge the beliefs of certain Hebrew Israelites ..

I'm never surprised when I get pushback from Gentiles who claim to believe the writings of Moses, the prophets, and the Apostles of Yahushuah—our Hamashiach. I've learned to carry the same sentiment when dealing with my Hebrew family. With the gentiles, I am a little sterner and more upfront. I guess that is the character of my longevity living in the South Side of Queens, New York. If you know, you know! So I will address this asinine idea differently because it is from a genetic brother—since he carries the Haplogroup E1B1A—descending from the proto-Semitic people of the Levant called Natufian. They are the true Shemites.
I was sent a message concerning my endorsement of the Apostle Paul, and this was the statement: "As far as scripture is concerned, you do not need Paul's confirmation; that is actually blasphemous, and it breaks the covenant of the most high. When did the father said he will send another prophet after the son or the seed of David?" Those who have recently been awakened to their newfound knowledge that African Americans—not all, though—are the descendants of the Igbo slaves who were taken captive and brought into the Americas to serve a harsh sentence of slavery. Should you need a reminder, allow me to show you what The Most High said when he kicked Judah out from the land promised to Abraham, our Ancestor:
"Also Judah did not keep the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the customs which Israel had introduced. 20 The LORD rejected all the descendants of Israel and afflicted them and gave them into the hand of plunderers, until He had cast them out of His sight. 21 When He had torn Israel from the house of David, they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king. Then Jeroboam drove Israel away from following the LORD and made them commit a great sin. 22 The sons of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they did not depart from them 23 until the LORD removed Israel from His sight, as He spoke through all His servants the prophets. So Israel was carried away into exile from their own land to Assyria until this day." 2 Kings 17:19-23
This scene is all too familiar as I think about how we got here in America, and yet we still have not learned the lesson that needs to be understood. But this individual's statement is also too similar to what our fathers said directly to Moses:
"This Moses, whom they disowned, saying, ‘WHO MADE YOU A RULER AND A JUDGE?’ is the one whom God sent to be both a ruler and a deliverer with the help of the angel who appeared to him in the thorn bush." Acts 7:35
Given that we are relatively new to our ancient heritage—Johnny-come-latelies, I’d like to share some insight with you that could serve as a warning to all. To begin, I want to answer the question that this individual has posed: "...When did the father said he will send another prophet after the son or the seed of David?" Logic would also conclude that if God hasn't sent a prophet after the son or seed of David—Yahushuah (Jesus Christ)—then there should also be no more morehs, evangelists, or apostles. But those are my thoughts as I play around with what should be logical. I've heard many of our brothers attempt to downplay the importance that Paul had in revealing the truth hidden in the Hebrew scriptures. Sadly, those who attempt to suggest that he had no value fall into the hands of God's adversary by denying the fact that Yahushuah is the one who called Paul. Since you have forgotten what Luke wrote in the book of Acts—you know, the same book where we debate whether Cornelius was a gentile or Israelite—let me remind you.
"Now Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest, 2 and asked for letters from him to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, both men and women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. 3 As he was traveling, it happened that he was approaching Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him; 4 and he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” 5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” And He said, “I am Jesus whom you are persecuting, 6 but get up and enter the city, and it will be told you what you must do.” 7 The men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one. 8 Saul got up from the ground, and though his eyes were open, he could see nothing; and leading him by the hand, they brought him into Damascus. 9 And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank. 10 Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and the Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” 11 And the Lord said to him, “Get up and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying, 12 and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him, so that he might regain his sight.” 13 But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he did to Your saints at Jerusalem; 14 and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name.” 15 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; 16 for I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake.” Acts 9:1-16
Now at this point I would say to a gentile—who is trying to refute my knowledge of the writings—a person with less intelligence or much intelligence would overlook the fact that Yahushuah—The Son or Seed of David—was the one who called Paul to the purpose of our Heavenly Father. However, some do not see things that way because they feel God should have done things from their "way" of thinking. To that moronic view, I consider true blasphemy. Are we walking in our own sight? But on many occasions, we see the Apostles a little more involved in Paul than most braindead people in our day—who question Paul's authority. So let me remind you:
"19 So then those who were scattered because of the persecution that occurred in connection with Stephen (his death) made their way to Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except to Jews alone. 20 But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who came to Antioch and began speaking to the Greeks also, preaching the Lord Jesus. 21 And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a large number who believed turned to the Lord. 22 The news about them reached the ears of the church at Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas off to Antioch. 23 Then when he arrived and witnessed the grace of God, he rejoiced and began to encourage them all with resolute heart to remain true to the Lord; 24 for he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And considerable numbers were brought to the Lord. 25 And he (Barnabas) left for Tarsus to look for Saul; 26 and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. And for an entire year they met with the church and taught considerable numbers; and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch." Acts 11:19-26
If you read carefully and without bias, you will see that Barnabas—a trusted witness sent from the Apostles in Jerusalem—found it needful to look for Saul (Paul) and bring him to the Greeks to teach them for a full year. But our simple minds contend with the fact that Paul played an important part in the work of our God, who is called Yahuah. But there is more:
"Now there were at Antioch, in the church that was there, prophets and teachers: Barnabas, and Simeon who was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then, when they had fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. 4 So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia and from there they sailed to Cyprus. 5 When they reached Salamis, they began to proclaim the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews; and they also had John as their helper. 6 When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they found a magician, a Jewish false prophet whose name was Bar-Jesus, 7 who was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, a man of intelligence. This man summoned Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the word of God. 8 But Elymas the magician (for so his name is translated) was opposing them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith. 9 But Saul, who was also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, fixed his gaze on him, 10 and said, “You who are full of all deceit and fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to make crooked the straight ways of the Lord? 11 Now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and not see the sun for a time.” And immediately a mist and a darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking those who would lead him by the hand. 12 Then the proconsul believed when he saw what had happened, being amazed at the teaching of the Lord." Acts 13:1-12
Some of you, guided by the evil thoughts the Devil has implanted in your mind, may oppose the Apostle Paul in his presence—if he was present today—and fall victim to the same result that came upon the false prophet in Paul's time. But like your father, Satan, you will not even think that denying Paul is also denying the Son and denying the Son is also denying the Father. You do remember what Yahushuah said, yes! Let us continue:
"Some men came down from Judea and began teaching the brethren, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.” 2 And when Paul and Barnabas had great dissension and debate with them, the brethren determined that Paul and Barnabas and some others of them should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders concerning this issue. 3 Therefore, being sent on their way by the church, they were passing through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and were bringing great joy to all the brethren. 4 When they arrived at Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they reported all that God had done with them. 5 But some of the sect of the Pharisees who had believed stood up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them and to direct them to observe the Law of Moses.”
6 The apostles and the elders came together to look into this matter. 7 After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, “Brethren, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe. 8 And God, who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us; 9 and He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith. 10 Now therefore why do you put God to the test by placing upon the neck of the disciples a yoke which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? 11 But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they also are.”
12 All the people kept silent, and they were listening to Barnabas and Paul as they were relating what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles." Acts 15:1-12
I must say that it is laughable that my brothers from a different mother give the Apostle Paul so much hate when the Apostle Peter said exactly the same things as the Apostle Paul. Read it again! But my brothers act just like the Pharisees who came into "The Belief." They think, “It is necessary to circumcise them and to direct them to observe the Law of Moses. (in order to be saved).” and ‘Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.” But what did Peter say? "Now therefore why do you put God to the test by placing upon the neck of the disciples a yoke which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? 11 But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they also are.” Peter not only endorses Paul, but he also has a harsh warning for most of you who resist Paul and his writings:
"Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, 15 and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, 16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them (the letters) of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. 17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." 2 Peter 3:14-18
The Apostle Peter does not hold back when it comes to this foolish talk about the authority of the writings and understanding of the scriptures that Paul possessed. Even the Apostle Peter says that some things are hard to understand. A man who received revelation from the same source as the Apostle Paul. So, when you are making these unfortunate statements concerning the Apostle Paul, you proven to be so proud that you distort the writings that he produced with his own pen, and yet you just found out that you are a descendant of Jacob. STOP THE CAP. You don't even come close to Paul's understanding as the Pharisee that he was before his Damascus experience. You certainly fall short of understanding the knowledge he gained after his experience in Damascus. People who refute Paul today would be demolished in these silly debates that take place on YouTube. Would not stand a chance. A bunch of people are making ignorant statements, leading people astray from "The Belief."
As for the statement that says, "As far as scripture is concerned, you do not need Paul's confirmation; that is actually blasphemous, and it breaks the covenant of the most high..."
I take these statements for what they are—just dumb. I take it that way because we seek confirmation from the writings of Moses and the prophets all the time. In fact, if you do not understand what Moses and the prophets are talking about, you are not even seeking confirmation. You just don't have a clue, which makes it even more ridiculous because it shows that you are making up things that Moses and the prophets didn't endorse or intended to be understood. So at least the Apostles had revelation of the scriptures. My question to the arrogant brain that makes these types of statements is, "What grounds do you have for attempting to teach the people and assume that Paul didn't know the truth?" Seeing that we have no need—according to you—to seek Paul's confirmation when we read his letters speaking about the truth. Since you think you know more than Paul and Peter—since Peter endorses Paul—I would expect an intelligent response. But I know that the response would not come from a thoughtful mind. This statement may come as a surprise to you. You think very highly of yourself when you should rather be seeking instead of pretending to know.
The apostle Paul was an apostle:
"When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they raised their voice, saying in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have become like men and have come down to us.” 12 And they began calling Barnabas, Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he (Paul) was the chief speaker. 13 The priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, and wanted to offer sacrifice with the crowds. 14 But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of it, they tore their robes and rushed out into the crowd, crying out 15 and saying, “Men, why are you doing these things?" Acts 14:11-15
There you have it. Paul and Barnabas were apostles. It has been in the text all this time. Maybe you didn't see it because you skip around attempting to go "line upon line" like those who distort the scriptures. One day they will learn that they weren't called to do so. Until Yahushuah comes, people will have to make sure they have the correct source of learning the scriptures. That is a hard task since everyone believes they know the truth.
