Why Paul Says a woman should have one husband and a man should have one wife

I am fully aware that preachers have interpreted the Apostle Paul's advice, which states that a man should have one wife and a woman should have one husband, as a definitive rule. Paul certainly saw the pitfalls of those who do not want to live according to God’s commandments on marriage, which is why they only talk about the commandment of adultery within the Ten Commandments but rule out the other laws that define how an individual can violate the commandment that says, “Thou shalt not commit adultery.”

God has never put constraints on the number of wives one man can possess, providing they follow the law that says these women must be virgins before they become one with a man. Here is another way of saying it: if a man becomes one with a woman who has already lost her virginity, that man has committed ADULTERY. If a woman engages in intercourse with another man to whom she has not lost her virginity, that woman has committed ADULTERY.

God himself placed constraints on the woman, prohibiting her from engaging in harlotry. God placed constraints on the man to prevent him from defiling himself with a woman who is not a virgin, as she may have already engaged in harlotry and thus defiled herself, or she belongs to another man. The Apostle Paul, of his own opinion, not the Lord’s, placed logical constraints on the man and the woman to keep fornication (harlotry) at bay.

For the man, Paul’s logical opinion was that a man could end up having intercourse with a woman who has already become one with another man via sexual intercourse. Paul’s logical opinion regarding the woman was primarily focused on preventing her from committing adultery and thereby severing her connection to her husband, as they are considered one flesh. Paul recognized the absurdity of sexual behavior in his era. Although I disagree with the pretender's interpretation of fornication, I believe that sexual intercourse is just as irrational today as it was in ancient times.

For starters, Satan has deluded the young generation into thinking that sex before your earthly governmental version of marriage IS fornication. THAT’S A LIE! A woman having sexual intercourse with a man is the act of becoming one—that’s marriage; that is how two individuals become one flesh. The lie is this: Satan has those who believe that having sex before marriage IS fornication, so by the time they become married according to the world’s way, they end up committing ADULTERY because the woman to whom they’re marrying according to the world’s way most likely isn’t a virgin. If the man she's had sex with is still alive and is not the man to whom she is marrying according to the world’s way, it implies that she belongs to someone else. In that situation, God has stood forward on his throne in heaven.

This is why Paul says this:

And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.” 1 Corinthians 7:10 KJV

The reason Paul makes this statement is clear, and here is what he states to provide clarity:

The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 7:39 KJV

If a woman has become one with a man through the act of intercourse, she is bound by the law as long as her man is still alive. Once he dies, only then can she become one with another. This truth will certainly offend those who have remarried according to the way of the world and discover themselves living in ADULTERY because pretenders have usurped the “seat of Moses” and told them that they can remarry. In this context, the woman believes that she is allowed to remarry, but only if the man who took her virginity is no longer alive.

The "Way of Yahuah" teaches that God has not changed his views on marriage, even though the U.S. decided to implement their version in the colonies in the 17th century. Men had multiple wives up until, I believe, the late 1800s. God has used marriage as a major parabolic image to understand how God and his bride will become one at the glorious marriage supper. Most will never be able to understand that aspect of the truth if they view marriage by the world’s hypocritical standard and their invalidated understanding of why Paul advised, separate from the Lord, that a man should have one wife and a woman should have one husband.

I am working on a marriage series of videos showing you what God had Moses write concerning marriage and what Jesus has to say about it. Until then, I’ll be losing followers because someone is too prideful to admit that they have missed it and are found in adultery. All God wants you to do is repent and let it be the last time. However, until you repent, you are still guilty and in need of forgiveness.

Shalom!
