In November 2017 I was blessed to visit Yahweh Our Redeemer Sabbath Synagogue (YORSS) in Imo State, Nigeria to minister to the women. This Shabbat I was blessed with a visit from my YORSS family: Rabbi Joshua Olouah-Johnson, Mother and High Court Judge AdaZion Onii Egbunine (who was invited to America to represent Nigeria at a international conference for judges) and Abigail Onii Egbunine, Social Media Minister for the Synagogue and Medical Student. They visited my home congregation Beth-El The House of Yah.
Rabbi Johnson gave a powerful message of encouragement to Hebrews in the diaspora which Abigail translated from his Igbo language.

That being said, yes, we are called to forgive our trespassers (for our own sakes) as much as theirs knowing the most High will execute judgement unless they repent. Moreover, no scripture advocates forgetfulness. Israel was constantly reminded by Yah and their elders of their bondage in Egypt so they would remember be humble, faithful and call upon YAH for deliverance. Yahshua's hands still bear the marks of his Crucifixion and is not the passover a memorial of Israel's emancipation from Egypt?
Biblically we are commanded to ---
Matthew 6:14 For IF ye forgive MEN their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: Matthew 6:14 But IF ye forgive not MEN their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Luke 17:3 Take heed to yourselves: IF thy BROTHER trespass against thee, rebuke him; and IF he repent, forgive him.
