The story is told by 12 Jamaicans who studied in Ukraine. They are sharing their first hand experience of the good and the bad, why they chose Ukraine to study and what it's like to be a Jamaican in Ukraine. Their peaceful stay in Ukraine was interrupted by russia, when it launched a full scale war on Ukraine and began shelling Ukrainian cities. This put millions of people in Ukraine in immediate danger. Among them - over 76000 foreign students, including the Jamaicans. Majority were trapped in Kharkiv, the city which happened to be under the heaviest attack by the Russian invaders.

This film shows what REALLY happened during the evacuation of foreign students from Ukraine and what they had to go through on trains, buses, 30 km walk and at the border itself. We're also addressing the part of the story that went viral in mainstream media about the discrimination of African students in Ukraine.

The full story is told by 12 Jamaicans who were actually there.
