In Seneca Village, a group of almost two hundred residents who were persecuted in downtown Manhattan, found refuge in a non-residential area in Midtown to Uptown Manhattan and called it home. Today, that area is known as Central Park, a Historical Landmark in New York City. Based on some evidence, that area might be classified as a stop on the Underground Railroad, with frequent visits from Sojourner Truth.
