In this article, I write about some of the imagery related to marriage that Satan has tried to keep from our eyes.

August 17, 2002, was a day of bliss for me and the woman that I made my wife. I remember the morning of the ceremony, most of our family members being in attendance to view the service. I am not going to lie; I cried, being filled with joy. It was just seven years prior that I had mustered up the courage to ask her out long term. I told her then that she would be my wife. Of course, I faced some backlash, but my popularity on the basketball court mitigated some of it. After the wedding ceremony we were instructed to head to an office where we had to sign the marriage documents to seal the deal. Then the minister who conducted the ceremony signed as a witness, and it was done. The government had proof that we were married. All of this going on while God sits in heaven watching our display of an enormous lack of knowledge. When I finally came to understand the truth concerning marriage, I saw the stupidity of the beliefs that Christians and descendants of Jacob possess in our lack of understanding concerning the things that Moses and the prophets wrote. And the statement that Jesus made still stands true today as it did in the day of our fathers:
"How can you believe when you receive glory from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?45 Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have set your hope.46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me.47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” John 5:44-47
The main question in this discourse should have raised red flags in our minds, but many pass on to the good stuff. But to understand what Jesus says when he asks this question: "How can you believe when you receive glory from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?" One must first ask the question, what did Jesus mean by glory? That glory is "the Light" of an incomprehensible "fire" that God is. For John says, "This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all." (1 John 1:5) Furthermore, Jesus was created in the image of that Light that God is, "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high..." and that "Light" is the gospel of the promise, as Paul says here: "And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4) And that gospel shines in the hearts of those who believe the truth as Paul says here: "For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6)
So it should be clear that the glory of God that Jesus is speaking of is the knowledge of the truth that can only come from God—the word of God. But some people are so fixated on receiving the oral traditions of men, who have not been called to shed light so that darkness may be removed and our nakedness be exposed. But I don't know about you; I like wearing clothes. It gets a little windy down here in the south! The next thing you need to know is that Moses wrote things that agree with Jesus' words. But if you don't believe Moses, how will you believe Jesus' words? That is nothing but the truth, and I will show you. Jesus encountered the Pharisees, and this is what he said:
"When Jesus had finished these words, He departed from Galilee and came into the region of Judea beyond the Jordan; 2 and large crowds followed Him, and He healed them there.3 Some Pharisees came to Jesus, testing Him and asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason at all?”4 And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE, 5 and said, ‘FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.” Matthew 19:1-6
As I am writing this, I can visualize many Christian vs. Hebrew Israelite debates concerning marriage, and neither group understands the imagery involved to which Jesus is speaking. This is because Satan has successfully deceived us, preventing us from understanding the true meaning and significance of marriage. Since my blinded eyes have been healed, I'd like to offer you the opportunity to gain the ability to "see." So let's begin with Moses' account from which Jesus pulls his information.
"And Yahuah Elohim caused a deep sleep {to} fall upon The Man, and he slept, and he took one from his ribs, and he closed up {the} flesh in place. 22) And the rib, which he took from The Man," Yahuah Elohim made a woman, and he brought her to "The Man." 23) And "The Man" said, "This {is} now bone from my bones and flesh from my flesh," for this—she will be called woman because she was taken from a man. 24) Because of this, a man will leave his father and his mother and join with his woman, and they will be one flesh." Genesis 2:21-24 My Translation
There is no reason for me to doubt that the statement regarding a man departing from his mother and father and becoming "one flesh" with his woman is marriage. But if you have read carefully what Moses wrote, this parabolic pantomime that God performed in creating the woman for a member of The Man's body and presenting her to the man was for the purpose of bringing a member back to "The Man,' that is, a member of his body. That is why Adam said this: "This {is} now bone from my bones and flesh from my flesh," for this—she will be called woman because she was taken from a man." But I also can't help but think that you still missed the point of why she was called a woman, so we will leave that for another day. Jesus let's us know how two (male and female) become one flesh after a man leaves his mother and his father, and the male and female become "one." He let's us know in terms that you should be able to understand:
"Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: 32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery." Matthew 5:27-32
But before you can understand what Jesus says here, let's look at what it means to commit adultery:
"And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death." Leviticus 20:10
"Moreover, thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her." Leviticus 18:20
Moses in these two verses has defined what it means for a man to commit adultery. And if you didn't notice, he defined what it meant for a woman to commit adultery as well. She just had to be willing to let a man lie with her knowing that she has a husband. This should be easy to understand, but I can hear the voices of those who believe that men can just go around sleeping with multiple women. To their ridiculous envy, I would suggest you understand "The Way" as it is in God's view and stop complaining. If you have learned anything at all, you know Jacob didn't have the best time having two wives. The psychological issues between the two women trying to win the love of Jacob over the other had to be stressful, so having one wife is enough. But I show pity for the moron who wishes to have two women standing under the curse God placed on Eve and her female children. Good luck!
Now that you see that a man having sexual intercourse with another man's wife is adultery and a woman having sexual intercourse with another man that is not her husband, you should be able to see why Jesus said this:
"It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: But32 I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery."
Jesus ties the legal action of divorcement to adultery and then states the only terms for a man to truly divorce his wife are found here: "That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery." His point is that if your wife has not had sexual intercourse with another man, you cannot divorce her, which is the legal act of separating her from your body. But this serves as the main point for which he also said this: "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.” Which is the reason God laughs at the idiocy of the minister's assumption that he is joining a man and a woman together by presiding over the marriage ceremony. Only God can psychologically join a man and a woman together. This happens when a man and a woman engage in sexual intercourse. And they are well capable of doing it without some tireless preacher speaking long jargon that means nothing. At that time they become "one"; the woman is joined as a member of the man's body, like Adam said: "This {is} now bone from my bones and flesh from my flesh," for this—she will be called woman because she was taken from a man." If all of this now makes sense to you, I think now is the best time to tell you that a woman can only remarry if she is a widow or a divorced woman who had sexual intercourse with another man, thereby separating herself from the body of the man of her previous sexual encounter because she committed adultery. For the virgin, she is safe because she is still joined to the body of her father, being a member of his house, along with her mother because she has not performed sexual intercourse with another man. Meaning she has a house that she is joined to and protected.
I went through all of this legal jargon because the parabolic purpose for Jesus making these statements is due to the fact that he is explaining spiritual reality using imagery found in the ancient cultural setting. This is why he says this before going into all the statements that he made about adultery:
The woman that Jesus is referring to when he says, "whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart..." is the same woman Solomon writes about here:
" For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light;
And reproofs for discipline are the way of life
24 To keep (guard) you from the evil woman,
From the smooth tongue of the adulteress.
25 Do not desire her beauty in your heart,
Nor let her capture you with her eyelids.
26 For on account of a harlot, one is reduced to a loaf of bread,
And an adulteress hunts for the precious life (soul). Proverbs 6:23-26"
Jesus is speaking parabolically. If he wasn't, then many people in the body of Christ should be cutting off those members of their's that they think he is talking about literally. The truth is Jesus is speaking parabolically about his body—the body of Jesus Christ. The members of Israel (both genetic descendants of Jacob and Gentiles) that make up the body of Christ, the Firstborn Son of God who is called Israel. Yes, Jesus Christ! He is also speaking parabolically about a woman. Both the genetic descendants of Jacob and the gentiles who became "one" with Christ are members that are like the eye and the foot and whatever part of the body that belongs to "The Man" Jesus Christ, like a rib. If a member in Jesus' body looks on a woman to desire her in his heart, that member has cut themselves off from the body of Christ or will be cut off from the body by the collective members who remain in the body. It is called excommunication for the sake of guarding the purity of the virgin that Christ will marry—the two becoming one. That person who commits adultery in his heart, meaning he becomes "one" with the woman in his mind, has become "one" with the harlot—the woman that God is going to destroy at the end of the age. Babylon! Not America, to which Satan has planted in the minds of those who have believed his lies, but the planet Earth, to which he repeatedly refers to through the prophets. The day that she is set ablaze is the day that the prophets call "The Day of the Lord." Another thing that you need to understand about the body of Christ collectively and the members in specific is the fact that each member is also parabolically like a woman that must be ready for the marriage supper at midnight. At that time, those members who are also called virgins will literally become "one" in God's house, having the same image in reality that God has; when the truly wise attend that feast, which takes place until the dawn of the morning, we will be changed into the same image of the Light that God is. And God is a consuming fire.
The last thing that I want to bring to your attention is this: many people have no prerogative to excommunicate anyone from the body of Christ because they are living in the same sin or other things that can be identified as sin. That is only because most people are not believing the truth. But here is what John says about a person who is truly born of God:
"No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." 1 John 3:9
Just to give you a heads up, you may want to focus on the crappy translation of the translator who added the words commiteth in the KJV and practices in the NASB. They only did so because they could not believe that one could actually cease from sin. Their translation misleads them, as they failed to anticipate the conclusion of that verse: "and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." You can claim that practice and commit mean two entirely different things, but the reality is that John says if you are born of God, you cannot sin. And cannot also means will not. John appears to have left no room for flexibility. So if you are saying that John is saying that you can commit adultery, then I feel sorry for you. I would not waste any time "cutting you off" from among God's people, and I think you should do the same. You will only be following Paul's command in this chapter and verse: "I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people; I10 did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you would have to go out of the world. 11 But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church (body of Christ)? 13 But those who are outside, God judges. REMOVE THE WICKED MAN FROM AMONG YOURSELVES." 1 Corinthians 5:9-13
