“Festival of Lights” is a triumphant Gospel–Soul Hanukkah anthem inspired directly by
📜 1 Maccabees 4:52–61, the historical record of the first Feast of Dedication.
On the 25th day of the month of Casleu, the Maccabees rose early, cleansed the Temple, rebuilt the altar, and rededicated it with songs, harps, cymbals, and great rejoicing.
The same day the altar had been profaned — Yah turned into a day of victory and restoration.
