Cognitive Dissonance

Biblical considerations: ISAIAH 44:18 & 2CORINTHIANS 4:3-4



"Cognitive Dissonance" is the psychological discomfort of
having inconsistent thoughts, especially relating to behavioral decisions and
necessary changes that are warranted after being presented with truth. In most cases,
an individual living with cognitive dissonance refuse to change their practices

no matter how much evidence proves them of their erroneous standpoint.


⁣ISAIAH 44:18
They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.


2CORINTHIANS 4:3-4

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
