The Story You Never Hear About Hanukkah (1 Maccabees 1:59–64)
The Story You Never Hear About Hanukkah (1 Maccabees 1:59–64) GoshenRecords 56 Views • 4 months ago

⁣“Wrath Upon Israel” is a solemn and deeply reverent musical retelling of 1 Maccabees 1:59–64 — the tragic, often-hidden history behind Hanukkah.

These verses describe:
• idol sacrifices placed upon the altar of Elohim
• mothers who circumcised their sons being killed
• infants hanged around their necks
• houses of the faithful looted
• martyrs choosing death over eating unclean food
• Israel standing firm under deadly persecution

This piece blends Gospel, Hip-Hop, spoken lament, and sacred storytelling, honoring the bravery of those who would rather die than break the covenant.

This track teaches:
• the grief that preceded the miracle
• the historical cost of keeping the covenant
• why rededication meant EVERYTHING
• the resilience of the righteous under great wrath

Part of the Hanukkah Heat: Maccabee Mode collection — combining Scripture, oral tradition, and truth-based hip-hop to educate the world.

The Abomination of Desolation — The Day the Torah Was Set on Fire (1 Maccabees 1:54–58)
The Abomination of Desolation — The Day the Torah Was Set on Fire (1 Maccabees 1:54–58) GoshenRecords 147 Views • 4 months ago

⁣“Burned But Not Forgotten” is built on 1 Maccabees 1:54–58, one of the most painful and powerful chapters in the Hanukkah story — a part rarely taught today.

This passage records:
• the abomination of desolation set up on the altar
• idol altars built throughout Judah
• incense burned at every door and in every street
• the books of the Law torn and burned
• anyone found with a scroll being put to death
• monthly persecutions across the cities
• Israel living under terror for keeping covenant
• Torah keepers hunted and murdered
• the sacred flame replaced with strange fire
• the Word of Elohim treated like ash — yet still alive

This song blends spoken lament, poetic narration, neo-soul vocals, and gospel harmonies to retell this moment when Israel seemed crushed… yet the covenant endured.

This is not just music — it’s oral history revived for a generation returning to the roots of Hanukkah.

The Real Truth Exposed! Christianity And Black People
⁣Slavery deliberately stripped Africans of identity, language, and history, conditioning them to associate holiness and intelligence with whiteness and inferiority with blackness.

Through forced Christianity, the enslavers used Scripture out of context to justify servitude (e.g., twisting Ephesians 6:5 and Colossians 3:22), while hiding verses that condemned oppression (Exodus 3:7–10, Jeremiah 22:13).

Effect on the Black Mindset
This created a “double consciousness” (Du Bois): a conflict between the self-image as defined by the oppressor and the truth of divine creation in the image of YAHAWAH (Genesis 1:27).
It fostered generational trauma, self-hate, and internalized inferiority, making freedom a mental as well as physical battle.
⚖ 2. Jim Crow and the Institutionalization of Spiritual Inequality
Segregation and Suppression

Jim Crow laws reinforced the lie of Black inferiority through segregation, underfunded schools, and restricted worship spaces.

“White Jesus” imagery in churches served as a subconscious psychological control tool, portraying holiness as white and sin as dark.

Religious Impact
The Europeanized theology preached submission rather than liberation.\
Many Black people sought refuge in the Church, yet were taught to separate faith from justice, weakening communal identity and divine confidence.

Light It Up — Two Schools, One Light (Hanukkah Hype Song)
Light It Up — Two Schools, One Light (Hanukkah Hype Song) GoshenRecords 21 Views • 4 months ago

⁣Light It Up” is a high-energy Afrobeat Hanukkah anthem centered on the ancient debate between Beit Hillel and Beit Shammai — the two great houses of Judean teaching.

Brief History — The School of Hillel & The School of Shammai

In the days before and after the time of Yahushua, two major Torah schools shaped Judean thought:
• Beit Hillel (House of Hillel) taught that you add one candle each night.
They emphasized humility, peace, compassion, and spiritual ascent — increasing the light day by day.
• Beit Shammai (House of Shammai) taught that you start with eight and decrease.
They emphasized truth, strength, and prophetic symbolism — counting down to final redemption.

They disagreed passionately — but both sought to honor Yah, Torah, and the Light of Israel.

This song celebrates BOTH approaches as part of one beautiful nation, one people, one Light.

Built with:
• Drums & Afro percussion
• Hype crowd call-and-response
• Trap bass
• Horn stabs
• Festival energy

Perfect for:
• Hanukkah teaching videos
• Youth group hype
• Israel culture reels
• Torah education Shorts
• Celebration playlists
• High-energy concert moments
