The Real Truth Exposed! Christianity And Black People
⁣Slavery deliberately stripped Africans of identity, language, and history, conditioning them to associate holiness and intelligence with whiteness and inferiority with blackness.

Through forced Christianity, the enslavers used Scripture out of context to justify servitude (e.g., twisting Ephesians 6:5 and Colossians 3:22), while hiding verses that condemned oppression (Exodus 3:7–10, Jeremiah 22:13).

Effect on the Black Mindset
This created a “double consciousness” (Du Bois): a conflict between the self-image as defined by the oppressor and the truth of divine creation in the image of YAHAWAH (Genesis 1:27).
It fostered generational trauma, self-hate, and internalized inferiority, making freedom a mental as well as physical battle.
⚖ 2. Jim Crow and the Institutionalization of Spiritual Inequality
Segregation and Suppression

Jim Crow laws reinforced the lie of Black inferiority through segregation, underfunded schools, and restricted worship spaces.

“White Jesus” imagery in churches served as a subconscious psychological control tool, portraying holiness as white and sin as dark.

Religious Impact
The Europeanized theology preached submission rather than liberation.\
Many Black people sought refuge in the Church, yet were taught to separate faith from justice, weakening communal identity and divine confidence.
