Do We Want To Get Truly Free?

Av is the 5th Month of the Biblical Calendar and it is said to be the saddest month in the Hebrew calendar because during this month the 1st and 2nd temples were destroy BUT it is also said to be a month of concealed good. When we look at our people's history many other critical events occurred during the Month of Av such as The Haitian Revolution, the birth of The Honorable Marcus Garvey and during Av 2020 we will commemorate exactly 400 years since the first enslaved Hebrews were brought from Angola to America. In our Rosh Chodesh gathering we focused on truly being set free by The Messiah through going to the Court of Heaven to deal with generational sin and personal sin.

Three years later and the group has experienced a second round of internet fame, with social media users adopting the troupe as a dark-humoured symbol of death in the time of Covid-19.

BBC Africa's Sulley Lansah met up with the leader of the troupe to get his reaction to his new-found fame, and to see how he's coping during the pandemic.
