New Breed Assembly Torah Reflection: The Wedding of Yah & Israel/The Wedding of Rebekah & Is

On Shabbat January 4th I was visiting New Breed Assembly a Messianic Hebrew Assembly in Detroit under the leadership of Dr. Kenneth and Morah Howard and I was unexpectedly called up to share a reflection so I shared about that week's Torah Portion Exodus 24: 1-18 where the Israelites agree to do the commandments which reminded me of Genesis 24 which recounts the marriage of Isaac and Rebekah. Many call the acceptance of the commandments on Mt. Sinai the marriage of Yah and Israel I think it is interesting that Genesis 24 and Exodus 24 tell of two marriages: the marriage of Isaac and Rebekah and the marriage of Yah and Israel. This theme of marriage can be found from Genesis to Revelation.
