⁣The Most High spoke to and through many people throughout Scripture. He spoke through prophets, judges and kings, and there were times when He chose to speak through those we would call ordinary people. However, the evidence is clear that His oracles were given to one people – Israel. They are the only chosen messengers called to teach the divine oracles and lead the chosen people.

⁣The Most High made it clear in the Scriptures that His sacred writings belong to one group of people who would be his witnesses on the earth. Gentile nations did not have the same access to His laws, statutes, and commandments. The oracles were given to one people – Israel. So, why did the Most High not speak to Gentiles as He spoke to His chosen people?

⁣When Ezekiel saw the dry bones, he saw
hopelessness, death, and despair. Blacks experience similar conditions.
However, the Most High saw more than bones. He saw the army that came out of
Egypt. So, He told Ezekiel to prophesy to the bones so they could live. What
are we saying to the dry bones?

⁣As we remember the first exodus, we are reliving the story of our ancestors. We are also learning how the children of Israel were delivered from the bondage of those who oppressed them. An oppressor is a person or group exercising authority over another in a cruel and demeaning way: they crush their victims by abuse of power or authority. They will not relent or sympathize with the pain and suffering they inflict on others because oppressors have hardened hearts. The power of the Most High is the only thing that can only crush their control. In this 8th session of the series, we will see how the Most High dealt with the Egyptians and forced them to let His people go.
