Under one of my videos concerning Hebrews in Africa a sister named Lena Davis commented about her mother visiting Biafra years ago and I asked for more info, here is what I received: Evangelist Martha P. Davis was saddened by what she saw happen in the Nigerian Civil War. So she visited Umuahia, in the village of Umuda Isingwu in Igboland in 1976 (and made several journey's there until about 1994). She had written a Tract called, "The Art of Suffering", and the Pastor (now late, Rev. Sande Ogunka) of a Church there read it (we don't know how he got it), and he asked her to come. She had no organization backing her, nor church. She went leaving all 10 of her children (including a 15 month old) in the care of one another and a friend to do what Yah asked her to do. When she returned about four months later, she had much to say about their strong faith, brilliance, music and culture. It's a long journey and story. Using shortwave radio she had a radio show in Nigeria until 2007. She is still alive at age 81 but has health challenges pray for her. Many of do not know the Mothers in Zion who went before us, some even think we have no Mothers in Israel. The wise woman knows she is not the first or last to do something for Yah and can pay respect to others he has used before. Many say Africans and African Americans never tried to connect with each other but that’s because those in power will never allow certain stories to be told. We have to tell our stories.
Today Evangelist Davis and her daughter Lena know their Hebrew Heritage.
Today I honor Mother Evangelist Martha P. Davis by telling her story.

In this episode Zeinab Badawi travels to the country of her birth and the very region of her forefathers and mothers: northern Sudan where she sheds light on this little-known aspect of ancient African history, the great Kingdom of Kush.
Its kings ruled for many hundreds of years and indeed in the eighth century BC they conquered and governed Egypt for the best part of 100 years. Furthermore, Kush was an African superpower. Its influence extended to the modern day Middle East.
Zeinab visits the best preserved of Sudan’s one thousand pyramids and shows how some of the ancient customs of Kush have endured to this day.

And Zeinab also has an audience with the former governor of Nigeria’s central bank who became the Emir of Kano, one of northern Nigeria’s Muslim city states.
