THE PILLARS OF JACHIN AND BOAZ
Description: The pillars were nearly six feet (1.8 metres) thick and 27 feet (8.2 metres) tall. The eight-foot (2.4 metres) high brass chapiters, or capitals, on top of the columns bore decorations, in brass, of lilies. The original measurement was in cubits, which records that the pillars were 18 cubits high and 12 cubits around, and hollow—four fingers thick. In Jachin you will see our High Priest, not flamboyant, but, “made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men; and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death on the tree. Wherefore Alohim also hath highly exalted him by giving him a name which is above every name. He is our “merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to Alohim, to make reconciliation for the sins of his people.” Hebrews 2:17
