She told us that it was originally written by Jews who believed their Messiah had not yet come. But was adopted by Christian believers and words were updated accordingly. Well I always liked the melody and cadence and i started mapping it out on piano and this is my "adaptation" from it's traditional format to where the Ruach ha Qodash took it.
